# Milk Oolong

A smooth and creamy [oolong](https://leafspirit.store/knowledge/how-to-brew-oolong.md) tea with a naturally rich aroma and a velvety texture. Delicate notes of sweet milk, fresh orchids, and buttery pastry create a comforting and elegant cup with a long, mellow finish

The cream is grown, not added. [Milk oolong](https://leafspirit.store/knowledge/milk-oolong.md) is made from Jin Xuan - Taiwan No. 12, a cultivar released in 1981 that long ago crossed into mainland gardens. Ours comes from [Yunnan](https://leafspirit.store/knowledge/yunnan.md) and [Fujian](https://leafspirit.store/knowledge/fujian.md): lightly oxidised leaf rolled into tight green pearls, with no milk or flavouring at any stage - the buttery note belongs to the bush itself. That is also how we buy it: every lot is brewed [gongfu](https://leafspirit.store/knowledge/gongfu-cha.md) style before it reaches the shelf, and if the cream note doesn't hold through four to six steeps, softening into orchid and pastry, the lot doesn't pass.
