Chinese Tea Ceremony Experience in Phuket
A private Gong Fu Cha experience led by our tea master Ms. Judy (Wang Mengyu), for two to six guests, ninety minutes to two hours. You come into the tea room itself: shelves of Chinese tea, teaware, bare wood, and the smell of leaf and dried herbs before anything is even poured.
What you taste
Four or five teas, built in three movements. It opens with aged pu-erh - the traditional heart of the session, brewed four to six times, so you taste the same leaf change from infusion to infusion. Then a herbal infusion blended for the table. It closes with one or two signature teas, lighter and more aromatic, when the pace has already slowed. Depending on the session another tea may join them; the exact line-up shifts with the season and what is on the shelf, the structure does not.
How it goes
Between pours you talk. Where the leaf grew, how it was processed, why the cups are so small, how a pressed cake ages, what makes a herb worth putting in a cup. Questions are the point - this is a table, not a lecture. Most guests book it as a pause between beaches and are surprised when two hours have gone.

- 2–6 guests. Children are welcome if they are happy to sit through something quiet and slow.
- 90–120 minutes, at the tea house on Cherng Talay Road.

- After the ceremony you get 10% off any tea you buy - most people leave with the pu-erh they just drank.
- Book one or two days ahead. Walk-ins are hard to fit: the table is set for one group at a time.
